People think Crypto is Blockchain and Blockchain is Crypto– we are in the early stages of Blockchain development and it is natural to be thinking that way. Let me try to summarize what each of them are
- Blockchain is a technology to enable decentralized and transparent transactions. There are lots of details I am leaving out here (multiple posts required for that)
- Crypto currency is a specific use that enables programmable money/tokens that uses the Blockchain technology
There are many applications of Blockchain technology, not just Crypto. For example, Brands can use Blockchain technology to power applications that display the provenance of every single part to the consumer
I am excited about the Blockchain technology and it’s application to enable a decentralized economy
